These four kids are going to make it big. Anyways, that’s what I’ve been hearing. Apparently their concert at SXSW was very impressive, and has launched a regular gunfight over who’s going to ink the deal with them. They’ve released three EP’s so far, and you can get your hands on at least two of them over at monarchymusiccorp.com which looks like their own company. Before you download these three brilliant tracks I must warn you, that this is about as indie as you can get!
Have fun!

Tomorrow around eight AM, I’ll be on train to Skive to start the recording with Dn. Yes, that’s right! I’m going to produce the seven-piece art-rockers new album, or rather FIRST album.
They will release a maxi-single this september, and I hope that it is going to blow your mind.
Meanwhile you can enjoy this track from their website:

Since summer on these parts has declined dramatically I thought it was about time to release my very own compilation of tracks for you guys, to go along with the sweet sensation of rain on your skin. Here we go:
1. Band Of Horses - The Funeral
2. Marching Band - Feel Good About It
3. The Cinematic Orchestra - Exit Music For A Film (Radiohead cover)
4. Beirut - Postcards From Italy
5. Jason Lytle of Grandaddy - Underneath The Weeping Willow
Enjoy the rain…

Today there were packages in the mail. Little brown packages from Ghostly International!
One had the Skeletons album “Life And The Afterbirth” inside. This is the second album from Matt Mehlan, the primus motor in the, now expanded to a quartet, outfit that is Skeletons And The Girl-faced Boys. This is one of only a thousand copies, with hand-made cover and all. The only free track I could find from the album was “My Friend Drowned In His Own Vomit” but I urge you to go buy it. You will not be disappointed!
P.S. My deepest apologies for the lack of quality in one of the recent posts, Mr. Lava ;-)
This entry, however, will hopefully make up for that, since Skeletons’ obvious qualities cannot be disputed. EVER!

The bass, the guitar and the drums is really all you need. Well certainly for this band it is. The guys and one girl from Death By Kite make noisy and loud music, and they do it better than any other danish band I’ve heard. It’s post-rock but it’s not. It’s just great…
If I should point out one thing that annoys me, it is that they’ve obviously not spend that much time (or money) on recording their material, so it comes across kindda bleak and dull, soundvise.
But if you’re able to see past that, this is definitely worth a listen.
I’d like to hear them live sometime. Allegedly it should be very, very loud and who doesn’t like that, huh? If you can find the time they are playing at Gimle, Roskilde on the 13th of october, and I for one will be there, since I missed their performance at Vesterbro Festival last month.

So, I’ve spend a few hours (six to be more exact) making this remix of Tilde’s “Toss Away”.
I’ve also uploaded it to the download section for you, so go get it and let me know what you think. The original can be found at tilde.mymusic.dk.
